Best Place to Trick or Treat in Orlando

Trying to figure out the best place to trick or treat in Orlando that will be safe AND fun for Halloween?  We have compiled a list of the best places to trick-or-treat in Orlando on the big night.

  • Baldwin Park:  Orlando – Baldwin Park is by far one of the best places to go trick or treating if you want the good old fashion door to door activity.  Hundreds of kids and their parents will be in the area and you can always go to downtown Baldwin Park and grab a bite to eat after the kids get tired.  Best times to go are 6p – 8p.  Some houses will still hand out candy until around 9p, but after 9p most people shut off their lights.
  • Cranes Roost:  Altamonte – Halloween at Cranes Roost will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 5–9 PM. The event is free to attend, but food and drinks are available for purchase. Some rules include no coolers and no glass. The event is hosted by the Altamonte Springs Police Department.
    The event includes:
    • Trick-or-treating: A community-friendly alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating, with trick-or-treating around Cranes Roost Lake
    • Costume contests: Prizes are awarded in categories including Best Original, Best Costume, Best Group Costumes, and Best Decorated Booth
    • Games and activities: Kids’ games and activities are available
    • Live entertainment: Live music and dance performances are featured
  • Waterford Lakes Drive-Thru Halloween Candy Crawl – Goblins and Ghouls, join us for our first ever Drive-Thru Candy Crawl! To keep our guests safe, cars will drive through the property to collect pre-portioned bags of candy that also contain a take-home arts and craft project for the little ones! Costumes are still encouraged. Please note: To ensure there are enough candy bags, we will be asking families to reserve a ticket for each child that will be in attendance.  You must reserve one (1) ticket per child who will be attending the event. Tickets are not needed for adults. Each child will receive one (1) candy bag/craft. Child must be present at the time of the event to receive the bag. Adults will not receive a candy bag/craft. If your child has allergies, please reserve the “Non Candy” ticket option. The bag will still contain a craft and will have Halloween novelty toys (ex. spider rings) instead of candy. Excellent info as always. I didn’t realize how active the churches are on Halloween.
